The Council has a limited amount of money that can be used to help residents in receipt of Housing Benefit or Universal Credit whose housing costs are not being met in full.
The scheme is not part of the benefits legislation. All awards are made at the Council's discretion. To be eligible you will need to show that your circumstances are exceptional.
In order to fully assess your claim we require some evidence. We will need the last 2 months' worth of bank statements for all accounts and an up-to-date rent statement. This is to enable us to process your claim as soon as possible. We may require additional evidence; however, we will contact you.
